Since the first game in 2009, okay well it was not really the first game, but many people will name this game as the first popular app, many things have come by.
Back to the top, because even though we think everybody knows of what we’re talking, we were talking about Angry Birds. Indeed, the first most popular app. At this moment Angry Birds has been downloading more than one billion times! When everybody was hooked to the game, nobody thought someone could come up with a game, with an app, which would be almost as popular as this, it happened. Because there it was; WordFeud. Although it has never been downloading as much as Angry Bird, this game did us forget the little angry birds for a second. Because it was also a free app it was easy to play and it was also a game with a competition element. And that was the perfect combination for everyone with a smartphone.
WordFeud was it for a while and then the story continued because there out of nothing it was: Draw Something. It has been downloading for 30 million times only in the first 5 (!!!) weeks. Extremely popular and by then the little birds really went one step backwards in our minds.
After DrawSomething it was quite still for a moment, but then the birds came back with a new version and there we went again! But the last few weeks there’s a new populair app, which is called SongPop. A nice game with a competition element, it’s free and there’s music, the ideal combination we think.
